DRUGS AND THE LAW
Non–medical consumption of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues, precursors in public places - a fine of 100 MPR, or arrest for up to 45 days. Article 296 part 1 of the Criminal Code
- registration with the police;
- registration with a narcologist;
- refusal to take exams for the right to drive a car, motorcycle;
- refusal to purchase a hunting rifle;
- refusal of employment in law enforcement agencies, public service.
Illegal manufacture, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation without the purpose of selling narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogues on an especially large scale – are punishable by imprisonment for up to 7 (seven) years. Article 296 part 2-4 of the Criminal Code
Propaganda or illegal advertising of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, precursors, is punishable by imprisonment for up to 6 (six) years with confiscation of property. Article 299-1 of the Criminal Code
