1. General Provisions

1.1 The regulation on the appearance of students is introduced in accordance with the basic requirements of the Charter of the KSU "Technological College of the City of Altai" Internal Regulations.
1.2 The regulation on the appearance of college students is being introduced in order to improve the concept of ethics, as well as to develop a unified strategy regarding the requirements for the appearance of students.
1.3 The regulation is intended to solve the following tasks:
- instilling in students a sense of proportion in clothing and compliance with the rules
business etiquette;
- formation of the student’s image;
- creating conditions for the formation of culture and aesthetics of students’ appearance,
- counteracting subcultures, “popular” and “street” culture in the business environment of the college;
- formation of a professional culture of behavior and interaction between students and teachers and students among themselves.
1.4 This Regulation does not imply the introduction of a uniform.
1.5 The appearance of subjects of the educational process is determined by: clothing
and her condition, shoes and her condition, hairstyle, makeup, jewelry, as well as their harmonious combination.


2. Basic appearance criteria
2.1 Students are recommended to dress in accordance with the business style of clothing of a specialist, professional.
2.2 BUT it is allowed to wear clothing indicating belonging to
of one or another nationality and religion, except for official and cultural events.
2.3 Basic rules that shape the appearance:
- business style in clothing means a strict, smart appearance, neatness;
- moderation in the selection of color schemes for clothing, shoes, and accessories;
- stylishness (harmonious combination of all components of clothing, shoes and
accessories);
- corporatism, that is, the presence of elements of a business person’s style.
2.4. The student's clothing must be appropriate for the season, the nature of the study session and the work situation.


3. Requirements for the appearance of students
3.1 The student’s appearance must be neat and consistent
business learning environment.
3.2 Mandatory requirements for all categories of students:
- appearance of young men - trousers, shirt, jacket, sweater, pullover, black or dark blue (not frayed) jeans, shoes, neat hairstyle.
- the appearance of girls - the length of the dress or skirt is no higher than 3/4 of the hip, trousers,
black or dark blue (not frayed) jeans, blouses, neat hairstyle,
moderate makeup; discreet decorations;
- unacceptable: clothes with bare back, forearm, deep
neckline, excessively short, transparent blouses, skirts and dresses with high
slit, skirts above 3L hips, shorts, low-waisted trousers,
sports and beachwear and shoes, clothes with large and bright
patterns, drawings and inscriptions, catchy makeup and a strong smell of perfume.
3.3 Wearing sportswear is allowed only during physical education classes, wearing military uniforms if there is a CVP lesson on the schedule on that school day;


4. Procedure for compliance with the Regulations (final provisions)
4.1 The college administration expresses its determination to fight
manifestations of frivolity of appearance among college students.
4.2 Deputy Director for Educational Work
inform class teachers and teaching assistants about monitoring the appearance of students.
4.3 The right of students to self-expression in clothing is recognized within the framework dictated by these Regulations and the norms of professional relations.
4.4 Teachers, staff, and duty service workers have
the right to reprimand a student about inappropriate appearance
requirements of this Regulation.
