The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan has carried out some work on the formation of a regulatory framework for credit-modular learning technology, regulating the basic requirements for the organization and conduct of the educational process within the framework of the credit-modular system: "Rules of the credit learning system", "Rules for the organization of the educational process on credit technology"; "On approval of the Rules of the organization the educational process on credit technology of education"; "Features of the introduction of credit-modular technology of education in organizations of technical and vocational education", etc.

Prerequisites for the transition to a credit system of education are:

The need to improve the quality of education and training;

stricter requirements of the labor market;

The accession of Kazakhstan's education to the Bologna process.
